PET/CT, Chemo 10 and TheraSpheres

The light at Pemaquid Point, Maine was built in 1827 for $2,800 during the presidency of John Quincy Adams. The tower is 38 feet tall and can be seen 14 miles at sea.

I am very excited about our treatment plans on the near horizon! Val and Chris are going to Cedars next Wednesday for a PET/CT and consult with Dr. Drazin. Nancy and I are leaving Escondido at 5 am Thursday morning to be with Val for Chemo 10. Char has been talking to Dr. Nissen about the use of TheraSpheres. This is a scaled down version of a nuclear airstrike using Cruise Missles to target and attack specific tumors in the liver.

Our reserve forces are very formidable. I talked to Dr. Lenz from USC Norris this week. He is standing ready if changes to our therapy are needed. Also, Char is working with M.D. Anderson to track down all our slides and get a formal report comparing the CT Scans from 2/6 to previous scans.

Please pray that all these pieces come together, for positive results from the PE/CT, for a good plan to execute Theraspheres, and that Val weathers the Chemo 10 infusion well.

God Is Crazy About You

There are many reasons God saves you: to appease his justice, to demonstrate his sovereignty. But one of the sweetest reasons God saves you is because he is fond of you. He likes having you around. He thinks you are the best thing to come down the pike in quite a while...
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If he had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, he'll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and he chose your heart....
Face it friend. He's crazy about you.

Praying for you..Jamee

Knowing that each of the pieces that need to fall into place will do so with ease. Knowing that treatment #10 will go well! Knowing that this disease is leaving Val's body right here and now. Bye, bye tumors!

Best and brightest to you all!

Val,
I miss you Val. I miss popping over to your house and going to TJMaxx. I went to the one in Michigan last weekend and it just wasn't the same!
Good luck with your chemo treatment tomorrow and your appointment at Dr. Drazin's office.
I will be praying for a very positive outcome.

As always I am here for you girl!

Love

Marianne

Dear all...
Once again...you have astonished me with your team-work!!! Reading your plan...I don't believe for one second that this cancer stands a chance when it is up against all of you...and especially, up against our Father!

I am in constant prayer for all of you. Val, I pray that these next few days treat you kindly...that you know and believe what an amazing woman you are and how much you add to all of our lives! We just love you!

I pray to our Father...that He continues to provide all of your doctors with wisdom, insight, and answers so that all of the pieces to your puzzle come together. I pray that you and your family feel our Lord's presence surrounding you...filling you with all the strength and courage you need. I pray that He holds your hand through chemo 10...and carries you through it with ease!!! And...I pray that this CT shows all that we have been praying for!!!

We will be here for anything you need! And...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU for bringing Kendall home this eveing...you are great!

All my love,
Kerry Randall

My thoughts and prayer are with you and your family. My brother, David, is under the Hoskins family link. I enjoy reading your uplifting words. It is very obvious that you all have such great faith in God and that is the key to fighting this thing. We are all in this thing together and we need to be praying for one another and to just be there for one another to lean on if needed. Take care and God Bless.

Val- As I think about your journey and what you are facing I am reminded of the ROCK that sits beside your front door. I remember when your parents gave you the special gift with your names engraved within the stone. I recall you sharing how much it touched you and what it represents to you and Chris. The Lord is our ROCK and He will carry you through this Valerie! I am so confident in your faith and your parents have been instrumental in building that foundation in you.
(Richard and Nancy- you're amazing!)

I will continue to pray for you, Chris, and your parents this week as you travel to LA. I will pray for your boys. I will pray for strength and encouraging news from the physicians. I visualize the doctors reviewing your scan in awe, and you saying it's the grace of God that has healed me.

I'm here if you need me Val!
