Great News!!

Val got some fantastic news this morning about the test results from the PET scan that she had done yesterday!!

"Mild to moderate interval DECREASE in size and intensity of previously seen multiple focal areas. No new lesions or tumors."

This PET scan was a comparrison to the PET scan done on Jan. 3rd. These results are very encouraging! PET scans show the "metabolic activity" or the life and intensity of the cancer. The CT scan shows actual images of the tumors. The CT test results will be available probably Monday, but we would expect to see results from that correspond with the PET results.

Praise God for constant love and tender mercy for Valerie. As I write this she is in the middle of chemotherapy at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. Pray that the while the chemo drugs are annihilating the cancer that her body will tolerate the assault. Pray for minimal side-effects and restful weekend.

We are forever grateful to those who keep Val constantly in their prayers.

A glorious day! Once again...I am down on my knees thanking our Lord for listening to all the prayers being said in Val's name!!! We are witnessing our Father's beautiful work being done!!! And although His healing is not occuring as "fast" as we would like it to...it is AMAZING to watch His Will be done! It only confirms for me that He is holding you Val...protecting you and loving you through this...all the way to the "winner's circle"

Tonight I pray that our Father hears how grateful we are for the great news of today. I pray that He gives your body strength and resiliency with this round of chemo...and that you and your family can close your eyes tonight knowing you are covered with His light and His love and rest in peace...

All our love,
Kerry Randall

The Prayer of St. Patrick
I arise today
Through the strength of heaven;
Light of the sun,
Splendor of fire,
Speed of lightning,
Swiftness of the wind,
Depth of the sea,
Stability of the earth,
Firmness of the rock.

I arise today
Through God's strength to pilot me;
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's hosts to save me
Afar and anear,
Alone or in a multitude.

Christ shield me today
Against wounding
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in the eye that sees me,
Christ in the ear that hears me.

I arise today
Through the mighty strength
Of the Lord of creation.
