Monday Evening Update

It’s been a very long day filled with some highs and lows. We had very encouraging news from the first Dr. around 5:00 pm that everything is going very well and she will be fine. They said the small increase in her meds and constipation made her confused and disoriented. We have the constipation under control; she is more alert so we are happy. Dr. Lo her Stent Dr. wanted to do the ERCP tonight. When he went over the procedure with Nancy, Julie and I he was not to optimistic about the outcome. The Potassium level was at 5.7 and it will normally increase during the procedure. He was going over the Pro and Cons with us. He believes it’s an infection in the Liver but he is also worried about her Kidneys not functioning normally. This is why her Potassium is higher than normal. They will need to insert a breathing tube and she will be admitted to the ICU. This really caught us all of guard. Val is just really fragile right now and they wanted us to make sure we are aware of this…..

We need some Prayers right now during the 8:00 to 9:00 hour during the Procedure.

We pray that the procedure goes well and they can change the Stents.
She has no problems with the Potassium level and the medication.
The infection is obvious and that Dr. Lo can take care of it with no complications.
Val heals quickly from it and her blood levels get back to normal ASAP.

Val is strong and has put up a huge fight. She just needs to get over this small mountain so she can come back home ASAP.

-Chris

Lord please be the Divine Physician and work through Val's doctors hands to perform the medical miracle that Val so desperately needs. Please erase all infection from Val's liver and restore her health as only you can. Strengthen and give peace to the McCrea and Sloan families as they continue to be faithful to you. We pray for comfort and peace for the boys and the entire family.

Thank you Lord that you are faithful to those who follow your path.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.

Oh, Lord, be with your precious Val, comfort her and her family, we thank you and praise you that they are all in your hands. Have mercy on your precious daughter... just say the word Lord and she shall be healed, only you can do that Lord... In your precious name we pray.

Chris, you are an amazing man, your faith will move mountains. Hang in there, and know that there is a whole invisble army of God surrounding you, fighting with you and comforting you. Cling to Him, He is faithful and right there with you through this.

I am praying in San Luis. Where is God in the pain? He is there. How can He allow it? Our minds cannot understand. Dear God please show them you are there. You are there.

Psalm 22.. vs.1-5 "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest. Yet you are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel. In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted, and were not put to shame." vs.8 "He trusts in the Lord; let him deliver him; let him resue him, for he delights in him!" vs.14 "I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast; my strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to my jaws; you lay me in the dust of death." vs.19 "But you, O Lord, do not be far off! O you my help, come quickly to my aid!" vs.22-24 "I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you; You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him, and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Isreal! For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and he has not hidden his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him." 23:4 "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

God hear the cries of your people. Carry them in your arms. Amen

Chris and family-

Words cannot express how strong and determined Val is...she truly is my hero. Please share with her how much she is loved by so many people. I noticed the counter this evening when on the blog and it shows the multitude of people who have reached out to show their love and give encouragment during this journey. Valerie has been touched by an outpouring of support that few will ever experience. And as she continues to fight this battle I pray she feels that love surrounding her.

My prayer for Valerie tonight is peace, comfort and to feel how much everyone loves her! I pray for everyone there holding her hand and fighting along side her to keep the faith in our Lord and know his plan is perfect.

I desperately ask for God to heal our sweet dear Valerie from this pain.

"Lord it is in your hands"

I pray for the boys at home and everyone who is helping to care for them. I know Justine and Danille have been helping with overnights. Rest your mind knowing Ryan, Gavin and Tyler are in good hands and so many people are reaching out to help.

I pray for God to provide comfort and peace for the entire family.

Love,
Deanna

Val and family,
I read this just now in Our Daily Bread.

Faith in God can make extraordinary heroes out of ordinary people.

You all have certainly shown all of us that every day of this journey.

Praying for you all through this bump in the road. Hope you are all home together soon, as soon as today!

Much love,
Michelle Greer
