Our Sweet Val

Val has arrived at home and is surrounded by her loving family. Hospice arrived from 7:30pm until about 10:00pm. We are thankful for this organization of dedicated health care professionals. They are a real blessing and we appreciate their dedication to helping others in their time in need. Val is now resting comfortably in her own bed where she so desperately wanted to be.

Thanks again for your continued Prayers in our time in need.

Please continue to pray that:

Val's condition will stabilize
Her family will be strong through these trying times
Hospice will continue to comfort Val
Her pain will subside

Dear McCrea and Slaon Families,

We just returned from a Rebecca St.James concert and as she sang a song of life's trails my mind and prayers turned to all of you and to your precious Valerie.I wanted to share them with you in this time of trail...Sandy B.

SHADOWLANDS

You promised me
That You'd never leave
Or let me go
You promised me
That You'd love me through
The highs and lows

You promised me
You won't give me more
Than I can bear
You promised me
That when I cry out
That You'd be there

The shadowlands are what I know
So I'm hanging on to Your every word
The shadowlands surround me now
But You walk with me through the cloud
Into the sun
Into the sun

You promised me
If I sow in tears
I'll reap in joy
You promised me
That You will breathe life
Into my soul

I know it's true
All that You say
I believe in You
And I am standing on
The promise You've made

Your promised me and I believe

When human hands fastened the divine hands to a cross with spikes, it wasn't the soilders who held the hands of Jesus steady. It was God who held them steady. Those same hands that formed the oceans and built the mountains. Those same hands that designed the dawn and crafted each cloud. Those same hands that blueprinted one incredible mother, wife, and dauthter - Valerie McCrea. Sending
you prayers for comfort and peace
during these difficult days.

Dearest Val and family,

I have been in constant prayer for all of you...and the prayer for Val coming home was answered! I am sooooooooo grateful and happy that you, Val, are surrounded by the most amazing, loving, faithful family that I have ever known.

As I write this, I am on my second pot of coffee! I could not close my eyes last night for one moment...I could not let one minute of opportunity for prayer to fall away. I have sat and read all the blogs and comments from people from all over to you Val! You have to see what an amazing child of God that you are...look at the numbers of people that you have touched! And there are no words to describe your family...pure love, pure faith, true faith...those are what I think of, but yet, they still cannot define how truly amazing and awesome you all are. You are God's people and I, we, are BLESSED to call you all friends.

My prayer this moment is for total and complete peace for everyone...Lord, breathe your life into the McCrea house now...FILL every single person and room with your love and peace! Lord, you are our Father, wrap your mighty arms around your McCrea and Sloan children...pour your mercy and grace upon them abundantly! Lord, you are our light, you are our truth, we praise your name!

Val, I love you with all of my heart and soul! Rest my friend...rest your heart, rest your mind, rest that body, and God will do all the healing!

I am here for every single one of you...anytime, night or day, for anything!

In His name,
Kerry Randall

Val,

Words cannot express what I feel for you, Val, and your family. Although I have not been around to witness what you and your family have endured, you all are the strongest family I've seen. To see how you've come together & brought all the glory to God is truly an inspiration. How I wish you'd be spared this pain & suffering, Val. You are such a fighter. You've been a bright spirit ever since I met you in high school. And even though I have not talked with you through this trial, I've followed your blog & prayed and thought of you and your family often. What an awesome support group of friends and family you have; a true testament to you as a person. I'm thinking of you and praying for all of you. God Bless you always.

In his loving care,

Sharon

Beverly and I are remembering you in prayer during these challenging days. We are grieved that you have to experience pain, Valerie, and are tursting that God will give you His strength and comfort to bear it (I Corinthians 10:13).

Our prayers are that God will reveal Himself to you in a special way. I am encouraged by what Pauls ays in II Corinthians 4:16,
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary and what is unseen is temporal."

Dear Val,

We hope your pain subsides soon, as we pray for your health and heart. You are an amazing person (always have been, always will be), and your determination to turn over every stone that you could for answers is to be admired. Even when you realize you have to blaze your own trail, you manage to keep going, with a wonderful team behind you.

From reading your blog for over a year now, I can see that the love and support of your husband, parents, brother and sister, Aunt, and friends has made the trail more bearable and even possible. What a team you have on your side! It's the most winningest team I've ever seen. The love you give them has come back to you four-fold. The love you give to God has come back to you in abundance.

May that love comfort you and help you feel safe as you rest. May that love help fight this current infection...an infection that is in your blood, but not your heart nor your soul.

You are an amazing woman Valerie! Always have been, always will be!

May tomorrow bring a brighter morning-- in every way!

With Love,
The Woodruff Family,
Merry, Jim, Bailey, Parker and Riley
