Thanks

Many thanks to those who prayed for Valerie's nausea. She is feeling better and is on course for the Mayo Clinic this Sunday. Valerie also has an appointment at MD Anderson in Houston on Feb. 6. Second and third opinions are what we are after to attack this cancer. Pray God will go before us and pave the way as we trust He will.

In Genesis God waited until Abraham and Sarah were so old, nearly 100, for Sarah to conceive Issac. It would seem He did this to make it abundantly clear that this blessed miracle was from the hand of God alone. Whether we wait on the Lord for a miraculous healing or if the Lord directs that hands of the doctors, our prayer and hope is for comlete healing for Valerie.

Thanks for your continued prayers and encouragement for Val. I know first hand that there are many silent prayer warriors as well who do not post on the Blog, but check it regularly and pray daily for Valerie.

In Him,

Val's sister, Julie

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. If I can be of any help with your Houston trip, please let me know. I have lived here my entire life and now I am a master of navigating MD Anderson. I would be glad to help out in any way I can.

Have a good safe trip, Val. I'll be praying the whole time!! Thanks for coming and being midwife today with us. Sorry, Richard, about there only being one puppy... We will let her breed one more time, so next time you'll be first on the list. Maybe by then, Chris will be ready for one..? They are awefully cute! The girls have decided to name the puppy Simon (after Simon Cowell on Amercian Idol). Hopefully he'll have a better attitude than that though...

I will miss you! See you soon! Let me know if I can help in any way with the boys while you're gone! We wish we could all go with you, but know we will all be there though our prayers and thoughts.

Dear Val, Chris, and Julie...
I want to wish you all the very best and safe trip! You will be in our prayers the whole time!
We all wish we could be with you, holding your hand on this journey...know we are there with you in spirit! We will be here taking care of your children and helping your mom and dad...no worries there!!!
Mostly remember...
When your head hangs low, look up; let your heart see Jesus standing there.
You are not alone in all of your sorrow, as Jesus will carry the cross you bear.
Let your faith call you to His open arms, to be held safely in His loving embrace. He will give you the courage you need, for the difficulties you are having to face.
He will guide you within troubled waters, until the water once again becomes still.
He will calm your fears, renew your hope, and in all of His love, strengthen your will.
So lift your head up, and rest in His love, and have faith you're never walking alone.
For the outstretched arms of Lord Jesus, will hold you, and become your cornerstone.
God bless you always...
All our love,
Kerry Randall

Val,
As I was preparing to get married yesterday I felt your presence with me. It was as though you were right here. It was comforting to me that although you couldn't be with me in person you were with me in spirit.
We all said a prayer for you last night during the reception. We looked over the ocean and prayed for God to watch over you and that your trip to the Mayo is safe and that you receive encouraging news.
Vicki said that she will help in any way you need at MD Anderson. She was an oncology RN there and knows most of the oncology department. She said to reach out to her and she would help with anything you need. She would really like to help you. Call me and I will get you her phone #.
Thank you so much for your well wishes to me for my wedding. It really meant a lot to me and Mark!

I miss you,

Love
