Saturday Flash

For those of you who were planning to come to Val's for a Communion service tonight, I think we will have to cancel. Val gets quite tired by the end of the day. Thanks for the RSVP's from Theresa, Lanie, Jennie, Kaylee, Heidi, Sandi, Amy, Alice, Ted, and Nicole.

Val had an x-ray yesterday. It revealed a blockage in her intestines. We are not sure what is causing it. Dr. Patel called from Cedars. He stressed the importance of good bowel acitivity. we are changing the antibiotic from Cipro to Xifaxan. Val is getting a blood panel done on Monday.

Char is due in this afternoon.

Please pray that this blockage would be cleared. Pray that we wake up some fine morning to a Valerie who is completely healed. It seems a reasonable request to ask our God to allow Val to raise her children to adulthood.

Godspeed

Our God is an AWESOME God! He is a God of great miracles, and we will continue to pray along with you for God to give a miracle to Val -- to reach His mighty hand in, and pull His child back to good health.

We too will be praying at 7pm tonight anyway. Even though we can't be with you/her in person, we are all there through our omnipresent God most high.

You are an awesome family! Hang in there!

Remember our God's words: "...The faithful prayer of a man availeth much...."

God's blessings upon you!

I too will be praying for Val at 7. However she is never far from my thoughts and prayers. Easter Morning would be a lovely day to see Valerie arise and be healed by our Savior! Praise be to our God, who's name is above all names.

You already know people in San Luis Obispo are praying for you, and will pray at 7:00. I only wish we could list the addresses of all the saints who have gone before us and all the angels who are watching, so we could truly demonstate how God holds His children. All glory to God that our own great God is familiar with all suffering. God's strength to you.

Dear Lord,
You know my friend so much better than I do. You know her sickness and her need. You also know her heart. Lord, I ask you to be with my friend now, working in her life. Let Your will be done in my friend's life. Lord, I pray for my friend because Your Word says I should pray for her healing. I believe You hear this earnest prayer from my heart and that it is powerful because of Your promise. I have faith in You to heal my friend, but I also trust in the plan you have for my friend's life. Lord, I don't always understand Your ways, and why my friend has to suffer, but I trust You now. May You be glorified in my friend's life and also in mine.
Amen

McCrea and Sloan family-

I'm praying for Val to be comforted and have peace. She is so beautiful and I know she wants her family to be at peace as well.

As I have witnessed so many people who love Val I have also seen during this difficult time her love for others. Val is always thinking of how she can help everyone else. Her hospitality is amazing; and she still expresses her desire to make others comfortable. Kerri-thank you for sharing your stories with me today as we visited with Val. You touched my heart and I appreciate what a good friend you have been to Val. You said you haven't known Val for very long but I believe its not always how long you have known someone that measures the depth of a friendship. You love her very much and it shows! It was nice spending time with you today and seeing your beautiful smile shine on Val, I can see why she loves you.

I'm here for you all if you need me.

I have never met Val or her family but have been tracking her health since my father was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in June 2006. Your love for one another and strong faith in God has helped me through this tough time.

Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this time, especially on this most Holy weekend.

I pray for strength for Val and her family and ask that the Lord bless you with the reminder of the blessed love and support you have around you.

We are praying in New York.

Happy Easter, Chris and Val - I prayed last night for the Lord's hands to touch Val's liver and restore her to health. I will continue to pray that this is the Lord's will for her. You are both thought of with fondness so often. And I hope to see you at the end of April - I'm still hoping to come out with Corinne and stay at the Rider's. - Laura (Atlanta)

Just wondering why Xifaxan? Isn't that for stopping diarrhea? You said she has a blockage?
