Reflections of Life

This is a picture of Ryan or Gavin (I can't tell which) on the track up at Elsinore. Paul, Chris, Gavin, and Ryan really love this sport.

Stacie Lindsay, the sister of Mark Clements from Utah sent me this link. I think you will enjoy it. I did.

Dear Chris and boys, and Mr. and Mrs. Sloan and family,
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I can't tell you how I have been blessed and comforted by your words on the blog. We are praying for you.
I wanted to share with you the Psalm I read the day after Val left us to join the Lord. It was the Psalm I was going to read that day but I knew it was for you because the beginning of it I had prayed for Val before, thinking it was a song not knowing it came from the Psalms.
Psalm 121
I will lift my eyes to the mountains; where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, Who made the heavens and the earth. He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold He who watches over you will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the shade on your right hand. The sun will not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.

Also, Val had mentioned a while back in one of her last blog entries that she liked Psalm 68. One verse particularly encouraged me as I remembered a day standing in the street with Val holding hands with her and praying while our kids were playing. It started to rain.
Psm 68:8 says The heavens also dropped rain at the Presence of God.
I wasn't able to attend her memorial service but the Lord was there. I know you know He was there, but I thought it may encourage you as it did me.
He loves you all so much.

Love,
Michelle Ball (an old neighbor now living in MN)
