Easter Update
Val spent a quiet day with her family on Easter. Her pain level has dropped and was actually able to go outside and watch the kids do an Easter egg hunt late yesterday afternoon. Hospice is back to help Val starting last night. Char is back in town too.

Val,
It was so nice to hear your little voice this morning. It was of comfort to me just to hear you on the other end of the line across the miles.
It was very hard for me to say goodbye to you last week. How do you say goodbye to your good friend? How do you let go? It seems selfish of me to not want to let you go. I come home and engage in my life and I want to believe that this is not really happening. I know that you are going to a better place. I know that you will have peace for all of eternity. I believe that with all of my heart. It is just not the natural progression of how things should be. I want you to raise your boys. I want you to be married for 50 years to Chris.
I miss you,
Marianne
Hi to all of you--this is Tressa from Dr Frakes' office. I have been following your blog and wanted you to know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Please give Val a big hug from me.
Mr. Sloan -
Thank you so very much for your updates. The updates are with words from the heart. I will continue and continue to pray for her healing.

We continue to check this sight and pray, pray, pray! Peace and strength for all of you. You are such a wonderful and amazing family. How blessed you are to have each other.
We are waiting patiently for our Lord to do his work through Valerie. May peace, love and kindness surround all of you today and every day
Seeing all that has been shown to us over the last year and a half only makes us appreciate the time we have with our loved one's even more. If we thought that we had troubles before, we were blind. There is no reason to complain or want for more, for we have life and the ability to help others in their time of need.
Val you are dearly loved.
Hi, I just started reading your blogs last week, One of Val's Sons goes to school with one of my Pastor's son's, and I am, praying for peace for your family. May God Bless all of you in this trying time.

You are on my mind and in my heart tonight. A prayer will be offered for you and your family as you go through this journey. Your faith in the Lord is unwavering which is a true blessing.
Peace be with you Dear Val. You are in our thoughts and prayers, that God's will is done and you are pain free and resting in his arms. Sending you all the love in the world!
Dear Father -
I know we have no power on our own, and really no right to ask on our own, but in Jesus name, because of His power, and His worthiness, we plead for Val's life. Please restore her to her family. Cover this family with Your peace that surpasses all comprehension.
Thank you for the true, unending life you have given us.

On Easter Bev and I especially thought of you and your family. We thought of the glorious hope of resurrection that stands against our fear of death.
We also remembered that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead resides within us through the abiding prsence of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1).
We prayed for you and for God's mercy which is "new every morning".
Love,
Dale and Bev
Mary...You could not have said that better. For me Val entered my life for a season, but the impact that she has left on me will last a lifetime. The things that I have learned from Val and others in this blog are life changing. I THANK YOU to Val. God Bless You Val and may you find peace....I continue to pray.
Love, Jamee Webb
We continue to pray and pray for healing.
I know you can feel our prayers.
Tonight we continue to pray for the Mccrea and Sloan family.
Prayers for strength and healing.
Val - I love that picture your dad posted on the last blog. I laughed because I had the exact same hairdo when I was that age. I bet underneath those barettes are some "wings"! Remember those? :-) I'm still praying everyday for your healing. And loving and kissing my children a little more, for your site and family have reminded all of us what a blessing and a joy they can be. Love, Laura P. (Atlanta)
Your family is in my thoughts. Yesterday as I was trying to get my kids to school on time, racing around, without, my first cup of Starbucks, and feeling like a grump, Val came to my mind. I thought Val would love to do the mundane, daily things in life that we so take for granted, and look upon as a chore.
God Bless her soul.
It has been so great to read all her friends blogs about them sharing their history with Val. Thank you for letting us into your lives.
Will continue our prayers from St. Louis.
We pray you had a peaceful night.
WE love you ................
We are praying for your family and that Val regains her strength.
You are showered in prayers from from Houston.
God - Please hear our prayers for healing Val. Give her family strength.
Val, Chris, Boys and Family,
You are all holding together so strong and you are ALL truly amazing. God works his ways in special ways---you are all miraculously through his ways. You are constantly in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
The Enriquez Family
